Experienced U.S. furniture craftsmen oversee every step of the bamboo airfoil creation process, from applying the adhesive and forming the shapes to sanding the finished product, checking accuracy and quality at numerous points. This attention to detail ensures minimum variation in airfoils, leading to improved balance for maximum air movement and efficiency.
The matrix composite airfoils also undergo a rigorous process to ensure their consistency and quality, starting with individual injection-molding into a precise form. Each one is then cleaned, coated and painted for an automotive-grade finish. After three coats of paint, the final product is a resilient airfoil, coated in a finish that will never dull or discolor over time.

Matrix composite or bamboo, a technician sorts all airfoils into groups by specific weight to ensure the best starting balance before testing. The final step in creating a Haiku™ ceiling fan is attaching these pre-sorted airfoils and perfecting the balance through a 13-step process.
